Private tutor in Boulder, CO
University of Miami - Bachelors, Applied Physics
I earned my bachelor's degree in applied physics at the University of Miami. I also earned international studies and math minors. I'm looking forward to attending the University of Colorado at Boulder as a graduate student to study aerospace engineering. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students with subjects like calculus, algebra, trigonometry, pre-algebra, pre-calculus, geometry, and test preparation for the GRE and SAT math sections. I have found it a very gratifying to see the students that I assist find success in their coursework. I've also been a camp counselor, and I really enjoy working with kids. When I work with student, I break down complex ideas into the building blocks, and then I help students understand those before we build them back up. I prioritize creating an environment for my students that is comfortable, with open communication, support, and encouragement. I also like to make learning as interesting as possible to keep students engaged, and I like using lots of examples of how concepts we study are used in the real world. When I have free time, I enjoy exercising, sports, science fiction and fantasy, television and films, reading, eating good food, and traveling.
