Experience
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's Degree in biochemistry. I also have experience with developmental, cellular, and molecular biology. I really enjoy science and have a desire to pass my love and knowledge of the subject on to others. I am comfortable tutoring students in pretty much all types of science courses, including genetics, general biology, chemistry, physical chemistry, laboratory, physics, cell biology, nutrition, and microbiology. My experience in science has also equipped me to tutor students in a variety of math courses, such as calculus and algebra. My philosophy as a tutor involves identifying the way in which a students learns best and adapting the way I teach to fit each particular student's preferences. In my experience, this enables a student to learn in whatever way comes natural to them, which allows them to get the most out of their tutoring sessions. My goal as a tutor is to help my students develop a passion for learning that encourages both growth and success. When I am not researching in a lab, I enjoy spending time outdoors. Colorado has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities and I really enjoy mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking, and skiing.
