I'm a tutor with a long history of tutoring students of all ages. I started my tutoring career as a teaching assistant, where I worked with students to overcome coursework difficulties involving essays, English, and History. I also volunteered my tutoring skills to help children at the YMCA with homework and study skills.As a tutor, I believe that the success of a student relies heavily on involving the student in the discussions and decisions about their study solutions program. Giving the student a chance to feel that they are a part of their individualized plan motivates them to see the plan through to fruition. There's nothing more gratifying to me than to experience the instance when the student progresses from confusion to comprehension, and they see their study plan and hard work paying off.I'm a Cultural and American History enthusiast with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Arizona, and a Master of Arts in History from Villanova University. My educational background gave me the skills I need to tutor in many areas, including History, Math, Literature, English, Italian, Writing, and Essays. While History is a large interest of mine, I also spend time with music (writing and playing), sports, short story writing, and playing strategy-based games.
