Education

New College of Florida - BA, Economics

Experience

Currently I am an undergrad working towards my bachelor's degree in the field of Economics from New College of Florida. My focus is on Environmental Economics. I have varied experience tutoring the subject of Statistics, including work in the resource center at school, helping tutor students with their Stats material. I also worked for two semesters as a teacher's assistant in an introductory Stats course. In addition, I have experience working with students in high school as they take AP Stats and also undergraduate students taking their Statistics courses over the internet. Statistics is what I am really passionate about, but other fields that I feel comfortable teaching include Business, Economics, and Algebra. I can also help students as they prepare for tests like the IB and FCAT. I think that the key to teaching students how to solve problems is getting them to truly understand the concepts down to their core, rather than drilling them with facts to memorize. When I'm not in the classroom or working as a tutor, I like to hike, explore, and take road trips whenever I can.
