Experience
I have ten years of tutoring experience as college and high-school level tutor, including three years work as a highly-rated teaching assistant in mathematics and physics (In my last year teaching, I was the top-rated TA in the university). I also have four years of specialized training from the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science about how to help nonscientists understand technical subjects. I speak English as my native language and have very good communication skills. I believe that when you're hiring a tutor you need someone who can EXPLAIN the problems to you, not just someone who can do the problems themselves. I believe in concept-first education. You shouldn't have to memorize any more information than necessary. I'll help you understand WHY the equations and formulas apply so that when it comes time for you to do it on your own, it seems natural and instinctive.
