In addition, I have spent much of my life designing and facilitating children's programs. The focus of these programs has been nature connection, general science, and creative problem solving. I have facilitated programs at museums, K12 schools, CU Boulder, and independently as a member of the education startup Myra Makes. While in college, I was a key leader of the CU Biomimicry Club. This involved facilitating weekly design meetings for two years-- my goal was to keep people engaged and having fun while working toward solving our current design challenge. I love being with people and helping them learn new things and see things in new ways.

Hobbies

My work/life balance is easily maintained as I do work that I love and on the flip side am usually productive while having fun. I am always kept busy by a variety of projects: I am a biomimicry designer and educator, community organizer, and ecologically inspired artist. As a biomimicry designer, I have focused on bringing people together to maximize collective impact and collaboration. This has led me into community organizing work. I have been involved in Permaculture Action Days and am the co-chair of a nonprofit called Solutions Voyage which coordinates exhibitors and workshops that emphasize regenerative living at cultural events. As an artist, I am working on an ongoing collaborative project in which found materials are upcycled into a sculpture of a coral reef/city hybrid. This exhibit speaks to the waste prevalent in the world and intends to inspire people to look to the natural world as a teacher and mentor.
