Previous Tutor and Teaching experience: 2 years tutoring geology at CU Boulder. 2 years as a peer assistant in a lower division geology course. 2 teaching studio art (painting, drawing, sculpture). 3 years as a tutor/classroom assistant in a NYC public elementary school. 1 year as a high school peer tutor in science and writing. I enjoy aiding in a student's understanding and progress - watching the "lightbulb" effect is one of the most rewarding experiences. I will be pursuing my PhD in the upcoming year and hope to become a professor afterward, so I think that a range of teaching and tutoring experiences will be invaluable to my future career plans. My specialities are in Geology, Studio/Fine Arts and Writing.
