I would like to augment my teaching pension and vendor writer work, which is quite variable, with tutoring since I have been very successful in this role and really enjoy helping students. In my work as a vendor writer and translator one of my biggest accomplishments from 2013 to 2014 has been: translating the República de Colombia Ministerio de Minas y Energía Colombia – Unidad de Planeación Minero Energética (UPME) 94 page request for proposal (RFP) from Spanish to English; instrumental in winning one year contract that included translating multiple modeling and information management 100+ page documents, personnel resumes, proposal content, PowerPoint training slides, and user guides from English > < Spanish.

Hobbies
I'm a very active person, running 15+ miles weekly, maintaining a 10:30/min. pace. Reading and traveling internationally are an important part of my life. This past Sept/Oct. I went to Croatia on a Vermont Biking Tour vacation and next September I'm sign up to go to Italy. My passion is languages: Spanish is my native language as I was born in Cuba, I learned Portuguese while living in Brazil for 2 1/2 years; studied French in H.S. and minored in it in undergraduate; currently I'm learning Italian in preparation for my trip to Italy next year. I have three daughters and 3 grandsons that I enjoy very much. I have raised my daughters bilingually and am working on my grandsons, who are 4, 2, and 1 1/2 years old. I love learning and that's why I enjoy helping students learn!
