Private tutor in Boulder, CO
Northern Kentucky University - BS, Biology , Southern Illinois University - MS, Forestry
I hold a degree in science from the University of Northern Kentucky, which I obtained in 2011. It is here that I got my first experience in tutoring while assisting in teaching two general chemistry courses and a freshman honors science class. After finishing my degree, I obtained my master's in Forestry from Southern Illinois University. Though I am very capable of tutoring in a wide variety of subjects, my background best suits me for tutoring in the sciences. I particularly enjoy helping students with biology, environmental sciences, and chemistry. Each student learns differently, and because of that, I try to adapt the way I teach to the individual student's needs. I try to make my tutoring sessions enjoyable and interesting so that students are more excited about learning. I currently reside in Boulder, Colorado and specialize in biology, chemistry, physical chemistry, earth science, environmental science, inorganic chemistry, physical science, AP biology, AP environmental science, ACT science, ACT reading, general test prep, and general science. When not helping students to better themselves through tutoring, you can find me hiking, camping, fishing, or almost anything that involves being in the great outdoors. I am also a lover of animals and very much into science fiction.
