Hi! My name is Ryan, and I've been tutoring students in physics and math for over 15 years. I began tutoring in high school in an after school math program for middle and high school students. In college, I continued with this work, conducting private and group tutoring sessions for college students in their first year of physics. Since graduation, I've been teaching physics/math and coaching at two private high schools, and tutoring local university students. I moved to Colorado just recently! While I have come to love what physics and math can offer in explaining how the world works, I also understand that they can be challenging to learn. I've been there. It can be super frustrating when you know you're trying, but you still aren't getting it or doing well in the class. While these topics are hard, they're not impossible. I've spent years thinking about and breaking down difficult topics into pieces that can be more easily understood. I believe it is important to start by building a strong conceptual base, then proceed by applying these ideas to the homework and test problems you need to solve.
