Experience
I enjoy helping others and was a TA for Prof. Barbara Demmig-Adams' Biology class. I am patient and try to explain things in an easy-to-understand way. I work with students to find their ideal learning medium (visual, kinetic, auditory, etc) and then adjust my tutoring strategy in accordance. I've taken SOCY, MATH/QRMS, ENGL/WRTG, ATOC, GEOG, GEOL, BIO and ENVS classes. My lowest grade received thus far in my university career has been a B-. I promise to help you achieve the same or better.

About my teaching technique: I consider myself laid-back, friendly and helpful. I believe in a stress-free learning atmosphere and applying learned concepts to real-life instances to gain a better understanding. I can help students with prepping/studying for tests, organizing information, and bettering their reading and writing skills as well. In my free time, I've been volunteering with the Longmont Humane Society, the Boulder County Watershed Initiative and the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center. I'm an avid Broncos and Avalanche fan. I learn everything I can about nutrition/exercising and like to go running with my dog, Bella. I love Boulder and have lived here my entire life but I also love to travel internationally. So far, I've been to Canada, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Germany, Austria, Scotland and England.
