I have a BA in Communication with a minor in English from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, where I graduated Cum Laude. I am currently a Master's candidate at the University of Colorado-Boulder, pursuing a degree in Print and Broadcast Newsgathering/Journalism.
Experience
Over the past 6 years, I have privately tutored students in both elementary school and college (although never junior high or high school). I am particularly knowledgeable about English grammar, punctuation, and style, and I enjoy working with students on writing. I love writing and using words to communicate, and I believe I can share that love with students. I am prepared to guide students through homework assignments and class material, or provide my own lessons and assignments. Each tutoring job will be tailored specifically to the needs of each student. I would like to have a preliminary meeting to talk through expectations and goals before meeting to tutor for the first time.
