Experience
Hello and thanks for checking out my profile! I want to be your student's tutor because I love working with students to help them improve their grades, organizational skills, and desire to do well in school. When I was in middle school, my academic career was not headed down the right path. I was disorganized, disruptive during school, and had no motivation or interest in succeeding at school. My parent’s got me a tutor and it improved every aspect of my academic career. From then on, I did my best in school and it eventually earned me a nomination and appointment to go to West Point. Unfortunately some medical problems prevented me from staying there past the two years I was a cadet. I have experience tutoring elementary and middle school level students in all subjects and high school students in math, science and ACT/SAT preparation. Being a tutor is not only about teaching proper organizational and study skills. It is also about instilling motivation, setting goals and how to achieve them. Outside of tutoring, I have worked with kids as a camp counselor.
