I have 8 Years tutoring Spanish. I love tutoring Spanish because my students always see a 1-2 letter grade increase in their classes. Also, since I have benefited so much from knowing Spanish, I enjoy helping others follow this path, and it is very rewarding to help teach a new language and culture. My goals with students are not simply to help them learn a new language, but become fluent, which will enhance their lives by enabling richer travel experiences and improving their competitive edge once they hit the job market. While I charge more for my tutoring services, you must understand that you will get what you pay for. I follow the Bolder Languages systematic approach to learning a new language. When I first meet with my student, I provide a book and work with them to set goals and plans. Once we have established what the student's objectives are, we work together to create a study plan. After each section, I note progress and areas to focus on for the future, and of course provide helpful study aides and resources to help improve where needed. If the student has a parent that is part of this process, I always keep the parent informed of this activity. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, playing music, and dancing Salsa. During the winter I love to snow board, and during the summer I try to spend as much time in the mountains near Boulder doing things like camping, mountain bike riding, and hiking.
