In high school I worked at our tutoring center called the "Write Place" that specialized in editing and helping students with their papers. I was also part of a program called After School All-Stars that helped tutor and entertain elementary school a few days a week. I scored a 32 on my ACT (translates to about 2160-2210 on SAT) Last summer I co-directed a Leader-in-Training program at a sleep away camp in Michigan. The goal of the program was to help incoming sophomores gain leadership skills through team building exercises, group problem solving initiatives, and reflective debriefing. Mostly I love teaching (especially if it's about literature or writing) and working with high school aged kids.
