I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Missouri. I teach chemistry at a local community college while tutoring. My teaching experience is vast, and I've worked with a wide range of clients from an assortment of academic abilities. I've taught and built great learning relationships with college students and high school kids, along with returning veterans and students. Building great relationships and working with different people are two of my favorite parts of teaching. I excel at teaching math and science. I use a light approach that combines a lot of fun with consistent motivation. A relaxed, happy atmosphere is the ideal learning environment. I take time to ferret out the learning style of a student. This technique allows me to use both their strong points and problem areas to design the perfect learning plan to guide them toward their goal. My teaching method involves deconstructing a theory or a discipline. I like to break down a problem into its most basic parts until the student has his or her "eureka moment" and finally grasps the concept. When I'm not in the classroom, I spend my free time reading, enjoying life, laughing, and taking my dog on long walks.
