EducationGraduated from George Washington University (May 2013) - BA in International Development, minors in Sociocultural Anthropology and French, GPA: 3.5
ExperienceI currently tutor for several families in the Boulder area, and have experience working with students from Kindergarten through high school. During college, I worked for three years as a teacher's aide and tutor for middle and elementary school students. I enjoy working both with young children and peers. I love to learn, and try to help others share that love by presenting information clearly and relating it to a student's interests - especially when the subject isn't their favorite!
I enjoy languages, and studied French for 9 years in high school and college. During a four-month study abroad program in Morocco (2012), I learned some basic Arabic, lived with a host family, and relied on French for all communication.

HobbiesIn my free time, I love to run, read, write, practice yoga, ballroom dance, and be outdoors. I've played the violin for ten years, and have given music lessons to several elementary school-aged students in the past. I enjoy traveling and learning languages; I studied French for nine years, and studied abroad in Morocco for several months in 2012. I've also begun studying Arabic and Spanish, and am eager to learn more.

Olivia is a valued tutor to my 8th grader. Her knowledge, patience, and flexibility are benefitting my daughter greatly. She has a calm and assuring way with kids, which both my daughter and I appreciate. My daughter looks forward to meeting with Olivia twice a week, and we can see the benefits in not only her rising grades, but her level of dedication and commitment to her studies overall. We can't recommend Olivia highly enough. What a gem.
