Education

I have a BA in Mathematics from Manchester University, and I have completed research at University of Miami, OH in Combinatorics. I graduated with a 3.98 GPA. Currently, I am working on my Masters degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Japanese Language and Literature. I have previously spent more than four years working and studying in Japan to attain top-level language skills.

Experience

I tutored all levels of math when I was an undergrad., and I currently tutor and teach Japanese. I have a lot of experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy learning and the academic experience very much. When I tutor, I like to share these experiences with students and build their confidence at the same time. I have passed the top two levels of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test for foreigners (JLPT, N1 and N2).

Hobbies

I enjoy the outdoors very much. I run on the trails whenever I have free time to do so. I also like gardening, hiking 14ers, cooking, and knitting inside when the weather is too cold for all-day adventures. Most of the last ten years of my life have involved teaching in some capacity, whether as a tutor or an assistant teacher.
