Experience with one-on-one and small group (<5) tutoring in Spanish, one-on-one experience with writing, study skills, and general English fluency. AP Spanish Tests: 5 & 5 Spanish Courses at CU: Spanish Conversation, Advanced Spanish Grammar, Spanish Phonology & Phonetics, Spanish Culture, Advanced Spanish Conversation, Spanish History. All passed with a B+ or better. I attended a bilingual school from first through fourth grade and have had a passion for languages ever since, have been tutoring Spanish since freshman year of high school, English from junior year. Started tutoring general English & study skills in college. I am saving money to move abroad to teach English in South Korea, and plan to attend law school before I die :) I have studied educational psychology, language development and studied language acquisition theories. While I believe immersion is the best teacher, I know that tutoring sessions are cheaper than a jaunt to South America :) I have worked mostly with students 10-30 who are concurrently studying Spanish at school, and am adept at helping students learn through homework. I have worked with many bilingual children who are hammering out their different languages, and am great with parents too! I have been a conversational partner for several adults working on their accent and improving general speed and fluency, and I most enjoy working with people who want to learn.
