Experience
I am nearly finished with my second masters degree, this time in English literature, with plans to continue on for a PhD. I have tutored students in ENGL, WRTG, and COMM with great results during my graduate studies. I have also taken extensive pedagogical training and co-taught small groups of students in literature classes. One-on-one or small-group formats are easily the best pedagogical approach and this is my forte. I have aced both the verbal portion of the GRE and the Praxis exam for the content area of English and Language Arts (I am currently studying hard for the subject GRE in English Lit). I excel in and take great pride in my work and my skill set. I am winning awards, publishing articles, and writing creatively. As a staff member with Study Abroad Programs at CU Boulder, I have worked extensively with undergraduate students in a variety of capacities for over a decade. My passion is to help students love reading and writing.
