I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Masters of Religious Studies/ Buddhist Studies from Naropa University. I am a certified Mindfulness Instructor and a certified Yoga Instructor. I hold a bachelors degree in Religious Studies and Anthropology from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Experience

I consider myself a life long student and love teaching and working with students one on one and in small groups. I have worked as a private tutor for the past 8 years and started the local tutoring company My Boulder Tutor. I have worked with middle, high school, and college students. I also have experience working with students with learning disabilities and who are struggling with conditions such as Asbergers syndrome. I always teach study skills and strategies to succeed in school as well as in life in general.

Hobbies

I am a long time dedicated practitioner of mindfulness meditation and yoga (since 2002). I love hiking with my dog and getting outside. I am also a long time guitar player and have recently begun creating electronic music. I have been fortunate to travel around the world, studying abroad in Paris, France and in Both Gaya India as well as in Nepal. I have travelled to Thailand, Cambodia, Peru, Costa Rica, England and Scotland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Amsterdam and across the west coast of USA and Canada,
