Experience
I enjoy being able to give individual attention and strive to cater my teaching methods to students' unique needs and learning styles. For four years, I worked as a teacher's assistant in Middle and High School classrooms with the Horizon's Program, a national non-profit organization that provides academic, athletic and cultural enrichment opportunities to students from low-income families. I tutored daily in literacy, writing and basic math. I also helped at writing workshops where students were able to get inspiration, brainstorm, write, revise and share their college entrance essays with others. Additionally, I helped tutor students for the written and verbal sections of the SAT college entrance exam. Currently, I advise in the Study Abroad Programs office at the University of Colorado and teach English classes to adult immigrants through Intercambio, a local nonprofit organization.

Hobbies
Nothing awakens my senses quite like traveling. For eight years now, I have made it a priority to get out and see the world as often and as fully as possible. I have spent extended periods of time studying in both Spain and India and hope to return to India in the very near future. I bring energy and maturity to the table, I connect well with youth of all ages and would love to help you or your child succeed in school!
